I have just returned from a meeting with the Fuehrer at the Berghof, and he is still fuming with rage over America's entry into the war. It was only due to your quick thinking that we were able to take victory out of the American's grasp; Germany is indebted to you. It has been discovered that the Americans used Iceland as a staging base to attack us in Britain. They continue to antagonize us with bomber attacks from Iceland, and the U.S. Navy's presence there is always a constant threat. OKW has been preparing for the need to secure Iceland, and has already had our forces seize the Faeroe Islands to extend the range of our Luftwaffe and intercept enemy bombers. The Z-plan is still underway, and our Kriegsmarine has grown stronger. This will be the longest amphibious operation to date, and the crossing will be dangerous. I am sure you will be up to the task Herr General!
